Join in Local Sport
Clubmark has teamed up with Join in Local Sport to offer accredited clubs a great opportunity to promote themselves in the build-up to and during the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games.
What is Join in Local Sport?
The project is run by the Join in Trust, which is backed by the organising committee of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games (L.O.C.O.G).
They are building up to a key weekend of August 18th/19th when the nation will be encouraged to visit and engage with their local sports club.
How does my club get involved?
The team at Join in Local Sport want clubs to offer free taster sessions or similar experiences which will be a great way to attract new members, volunteers and supporters.
Clubs will retain the option of stipulating how often these sessions are available and at what times so nobody should be overloaded and can make plans to meet demand.
Cannock Hockey club has already signed up to support Join In Local Sport, offering special hockey and cricket taster days for all the family.
What next?
The Join in Trust is asking clubs to visit their website as soon as possible. They can check out more information, upload their details and benefit from this great opportunity which supports Sport England's mission to get more people playing sport.
