IN THIS ISSUE

Clubmark - what's in it for me?

Welcome to the latest edition of the Clubmark newsletter, sent direct to more than 3,000 email addresses up and down the country...from clubs, their partners and other interested parties.

In this edition we have a BENEFITS focus...we share the benefits that Clubmark clubs have seen since achieving accreditation and keep you up to date with the latest rewards that local authorities and other sporting organisations offer to our high quality junior sports clubs.

Plus, take a look at our new SPOTLIGHT ON section and read the testimonials from those closest to Clubmark - what more encouragement do clubs need ?

And finally, this month, the new Sport England Strategy has been announced. One of the key underlying aims of this is to ensure that "everyone who plays sport has a quality experience and is able to fulfil their potential." Club accreditation will be key to the success of establishing "a modern network of sports clubs that are the centrepiece of people's sporting experience." You can download the Strategy from the Sport England website.

Clubmark Licence news

Following national lead officer training and further consultation throughout the year, a NEW Licence Agreement has been developed to formalise the process undertaken to achieve the award and document ongoing conditions for both parties.

We are proud to announce another two licensing organisations that have been awarded a licence to accredit Clubmark clubs. Firstly, Clubmark has reached the Equestrian world. The British Horse Society on behalf of the British Equestrian Federation has been awarded the licence to accredit Clubmark clubs. To find out more read the press release on the BEF website.

Cumbria Sport Partnership has become the 7th CSP to be awarded a licence to accredit Clubmark. There are currently around 65 accredited clubs in Cumbria and this latest award is key to the development of Clubmark across rural counties such as Cumbria. We forsee that this will be the catalyst for change with the CSP driving NGBs and other agencies to improve the geographical spread of quality sports clubs for young people.

These latest awards take the total number of licensing organisations to 37, with more than a dozen licences awarded in the last 12 months, demonstrating the commanding position that Clubmark now holds across the sector.

All licensed organisations can now promote their status with the new Clubmark Licensed Organisation logo, developed to help differentiate them from clubs and help signpost interested clubs to recognised licensing bodies.
