Did you know...
....Clubmark clubs are required to re-accredit every three or four years (depending upon NGB/CSP accreditation period). NGBs have worked hard to ensure that the re-accreditation process is as simple and straightforward as possible whilst ensuring that the standards are maintained. There are more than 1,400 clubs that will embark upon re-accreditation by the end of 2009 and we recognise that this is an important aspect of the Clubmark process.
Our advice is to use your Clubmark file as a working document rather than gathering dust on the shelf. This will help to maintain your clubs records such as; coaching certificates, committee minutes and insurance certificates etc.
We also recommend that you review your development plan to recognise successes since accreditation and identify outstanding actions required. Take time to reflect and also to look forward, planning for further developments. This is a great time to ensure that strengths are recognised, weaknesses addressed, opportunities are seized and threats thwarted!
Those clubs that have successfully achieved re-accreditation tell us that they value the process of continuous improvement which ensures that good practice and minimum operating standards are maintained.
Re-accreditation gives a clear message of commitment and reassures clubs working towards accreditation that Clubmark is a robust, sustainable, quality assured programme providing accessible and safe sporting opportunities for young people to participate in sport.
