A £1,000 amateur sports club grant could be yours

The Daily Telegraph, in partnership with RBS, is set to award five £1,000 support packages over the next year to community and amateur sports clubs.

There are a huge number of amateur sports clubs whose activities underpin communities up and down the country and these clubs play a vital role in society, creating a place for social interaction and an environment where different generations come together to be active and share the joy of sporting participation.

Community and amateur sports clubs are often where most sports enthusiasts begin and end their playing days, from the village cricket club, to the lawn bowls club, to a badminton club in a local gymnasium.

The Daily Telegraph, in partnership with RBS, is set to help those communities by awarding five £1,000 support packages each month for the next year to encourage the development of amateur and community sports clubs across the country.

To apply you need to submit details about the background of your club, your successes, those who have served above and beyond the call of duty, what your club has done or would like to do within your community, and how you would put your £1,000 grant to use.

As a Clubmark accredited club / working towards accreditation it's likely you will have already detailed these achievements at some point along the accreditation journey and if your application is successful drop us an email via features@clubmark.org to let us know.
