To us Clubmark means that parents and players know they are coming to a well-run club with high standards and a child friendly atmosphere. They know that young players will be safe at Lady Hoops and that is very important to us all.
Angling - NFA sets new standards for angling clubs
The National Federation of Anglers has been given approval from Sport England to become an accreditation agent for the ultimate standard in sport clubs, Clubmark. To gain accreditation the NFA has recently run a pilot scheme where three angling clubs, Warrington A.A., Warlingham & District A.S. and Wakefield A.C. have each received their Clubmark accreditation. These clubs were presented with their awards at the 2006 NFA Conference held on 13th May, 2006.
Golf - West Hove Golf Club receives GolfMark
West Hove Golf Club has been awarded GolfMark accreditation demonstrating their hard work and dedication to both junior and beginners golf.
Badminton – Another Badminton club achieves accreditation
BATS Senior and BATS Junior Badminton Clubs have achieved Badminton England Silver Club status and Sport England Clubmark Accreditation. John Edwards, the Badminton England South West Regional Development Officer, presented the certificates recently and commended the work done by Heather Cooper and her coaching team.
Oundle RFU get the 'Seal of Approval'
On Sunday 16 January Oundle RFU were awarded the RFU “Seal of Approval” officially by Derek Watkins, Marketing and Communications Manager of the East Midlands Rugby Union. The presentation was made to Dave Stewart, coordinator for the project at the Occupation Road Club following the Sunday morning training session for the 200 plus children at the club. The accreditation is in recognition of the clubs efforts to create a safe, enjoyable and welcoming environment for all to come and enjoy the sport of Rugby Union. The club is based in the community and the awards recognise this as a valuable part. Oundle who were formed in 1976 were the second club in the East Midlands to gain this level, quite an achievement considering the size of the club.
City Of Bristol Volleyball Club presented with Volley 1 Award
The City Of Bristol Volleyball Club were presented with their Volley 1 Award at the Whitefield tournament last month, on the 23rd July.
Stafford triathlon club gain clubmark
After many months of hard work, Stafford Triathlon Club has been awarded the prestigious Clubmark award from Sport England for their dedication to creating a child friendly Junior section.
