Accreditation rounds off a successful season for Berinsfield Boxing Club
Hot on the heels of opening its new facility, Berinsfield Amateur Boxing Club celebrates achieving Clubmark accreditation.
Berinsfield Amateur Boxing Club has been a focal point for the Berinsfield estate for over 17 years, giving youngsters from the surrounding areas an opportunity to partake in the sport and it has been acknowledged by police and councillors for the work it has done in giving local people a positive outlet to engage in physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
The club is well established on the competitive circuit with boxers annually progressing to finals in national championships and the club has had two of its boxers going on to represent their country.
Ben Stewart, Boxing Development Officer for Home Counties said: "The new expansion to the facility and the achievement of Clubmark are fitting recognition for the dedication and commitment that Mel Corrigan and his team have put into the sport of amateur boxing for nearly two decades."
Matthew Williams, ABAE National Club and Coach Manager added: "Berinsfield ABC has demonstrated a real commitment to excellence in its submission and it is with great pleasure that we award them Clubmark accreditation. We wish the club continued success in the future and hope that many more of our clubs follow in their footsteps and achieve Clubmark."
