Trafford embraces the Clubmark Charter

Trafford publicises the charter in all its leisure centres. It has also introduced a Club of the Month board and it offers preferential rates and bookings for accredited clubs.

Developing relationships with local development officers is key to Clubmark
Prior to setting out to on the Clubmark journey, Grove House Stables Equestrian Centre, like many other clubs in a similar situation, faced its own share of challenges. As part of the accreditation process, Andrew Stennett focused his action on developing relationships with a range of local development officials, who could provide much needed advice, help and support.
Realising financial reward from Clubmark

Prior to achieving Clubmark, the club commented that the main obstacle to their further development was having a large enough and suitably qualified workforce. Simply achieving Clubmark status has helped them to attract further volunteers to the club, but their situation has been helped by financial incentives from England Basketball.

Improving opportunities to get involved - both in terms of participation and volunteering

Pegasus Gymnastics Club has been working in partnership with Ashford & Mid Kent Schools Sport Partnership, its PDM, the Regional Development Officer, CSC and a satellite club in Ashford to increase and improve the opportunities for children and young people to get involved with gymnastics in terms of both participation and volunteering.

Clubmark opens doors

Prior to achieving Clubmark accreditation in 2007, the Club had difficulty accessing funding for coach development and to replace aging and worn out equipment. It also needed to review and update its policies to fit new BCU structures and recommendations. This established Canoe Club found that Clubmark improved its access to funding.
Cumberwell Park Golf Club increases female junior membership
