Spotlight on…Tom Rock

Tom Rock is the chairperson of the Executive Committee of Everton Swimming Association. He first became involved with the Club when his son joined at the age of 6 years. Within a year Tom had volunteered to be the Treasurer - a role he undertook for 12 years.

With the committee, he steers the direction of the club to ensure that the benefit both Tom and his son have gained over the years is still made available to others. He said "Everton is a family club run by volunteers and the achievement of all involved is incredible when you consider the amount of time and effort they all put in to this club."

Tom supported the Club's Clubmark application and preparation process that was undertaken by officers who committed their time and efforts to achieve the formal accreditation on behalf of everyone involved with Everton Swimming Association.

"We owe the volunteers and coaches an immense amount of appreciation as without their commitment we would not exist. While we enjoy the benefits of the accreditation as a club, accreditation is based on their personal commitment to provide time, effort and experience to develop our swimmers."

Let me know when the new volunteer programme is ready!
